COLUMBUS, Ohio — An adorable video of a baby elephant’s first snow day is going viral.
According to WLWT, Ohio’s Columbus Zoo and Aquarium took to social media on Wednesday to share a recent clip of its Asian elephant herd – including 8-month-old calf Frankie – frolicking outside in the wintry weather.
“When the weather outside is frightful, the Asian elephant herd is delightful (and warm!) in their heated indoor habitat,” the zoo captioned the video. “Last week, the Asian elephants ventured outside and Frankie experienced his first snow!”
As of Friday morning, the footage had raked in more than 9,500 views on Instagram and 6,800 views on Facebook.
Frankie was born June 16 to mother Phoebe, 33, WLWT reported. He was named by an anonymous donor family who wanted to pay tribute to their late mother, Frances, according to the news outlet.
The calf now weighs more than 905 pounds, the zoo said earlier this week.
