KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee zoo is seeking the public’s help to choose a name for the attraction’s newborn giraffe.
According to WATE, Zoo Knoxville welcomed a male giraffe calf, whose parents are Frances and Jumbe, on Christmas Eve. The unnamed calf’s arrival marked the second giraffe birth at the zoo in the past 18 years, the facility said in a social media post at the time.
Now, the zoo is turning its attention to naming the baby giraffe. In a Facebook post Monday, the zoo asked followers to submit name suggestions using a Google form by midnight Friday.

“Make your suggestions this week, and we will choose a few finalists for a public vote next week,” the post read.
