Liberty Auction scheduled the sale for Thursday afternoon.

The auction house posted images of some of the items up for sale on Facebook late last week but didn’t specify whose items were for sale, only that they came from a “prominent estate” in Colleton County.

Liberty Auction confirmed to WCIV that the items were possessions from the Murdaugh home on Moselle Road, the same property where the murders of Alex Murdaugh’s wife, Maggie Murdaugh, and his son, Paul Murdaugh, occurred.

More images are expected to be posted on Tuesday and Wednesday on Liberty Auction’s Facebook page.

There will be no online bidding and no absentee bids during the auction, which will be held at Liberty’s Pembroke, Georgia, warehouse, the company said.

Alex Murdaugh was convicted of killing his wife and son, WTOC reported. He was sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison despite maintaining his innocence during the six-week-long trial, The Associated Press reported.

The home where the murders occurred is in the process of being sold for $3.7 million and is expected to be finalized soon, WHNS reported last week.
