ATLANTA, GA — A day after what would have been Hank Aaron’s 91st birthday, the Atlanta Braves join in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Carver High School as the Henry Louis Aaron Fund provides resources for facility upgrades.
Carver High School Athletics is celebrating and gives thanks to a donation from the fund that is part of the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
The Carver baseball and softball teams now have a state-of-the art, covered batting cage and new windscreens for their fields.
The fund, created in 2021, continues the life work of Mr. & Mrs. Aaron by investing in projects and programs to help youth to ‘chase their dreams.
Carver is the third city of Atlanta school to benefit from the program, and the seventh overall.
