Catch Rachel on the air whenever needed for us! Growing up in the Washington DC area, Rachel became fascinated by all things radio at an early age. At 12 years old, she couldn't get enough of the music she heard on the radio every day. So much so that her favorite local disc jockey would put her on the air with him on a weekly basis. Fast forward to studying broadcasting in college and DJing on the college station, she was able to get an internship at a Washington DC radio station. This led to dabbling into the world of voiceovers which she currently does for many clients from her home studio. On air positions followed and she couldn't be happier to work for The New 97-1 The River!
You can also catch her out at one of the many River events around town. She says, "I love meeting River listeners whenever possible! We're so proud to play the music that brings back memories for so many. Being a teen in the 80's myself, the music still triggers a time when Camaros ruled the streets, long haired bands ruled the airwaves and MTV still played videos! We appreciate all your feedback and thanks so much for listening!"
