Hey RIVER FANS!

ARIANA here... Can you believe it is 2008? I, for one, cannot believe it has been over two years since I started working for THE RIVER. It has been so much fun getting to meet all of the awesome RIVER fans out on the streets of ATL. I am loving this radio station, and I feel so lucky to have one of the coolest jobs at the coolest station in Atlanta.

2008 holds many surprises for RIVER listeners. We have some amazing contests and giveaways planned for you guys this year. A little background info on me: I'm a music enthusiast by nature. I was raised on the classics thanks to my rockin' parents. I've been involved in the music scene as long as I can remember, and am continuing my passion for music now working at the best radio station in Atlanta - 97.1 THE RIVER. I'm an animal lover - I have 2 dogs and 2 cats...Diesel, Japhy, CJ and Doc...and they are my kids. I live in the heart of Atlanta and drive a car that is well on its way to being an antique. I love it though! Some of you have been asking me if I'm single...and if by that you mean "am I married?", then the answer is NO. But I am dating a pretty cool guy...and would think it is safe to say I'm currently off the market...so sorry guys!! I'm a busy girl...I balance my time between rolling with the River, managing my brother - Gareth Asher and his band, promoting local artists and charity concerts, and mixing cocktails at a local bar here in Atlanta - TIN ROOF CANTINA ROCKS! (shameless plug). Going to see concerts and local shows and interacting with fellow music lovers are some of my favorite things to do.



Some of my favorite artists: The Counting Crows, Ray Lamontagne, The Fray, City and Colour, Journey, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Ryan Adams, Coldplay, Amos Lee, Jeff Buckley, Nina Simone, Emerson Hart, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Rick Springfield, The Floating Men, Jackson Brown, Gareth Asher, Collective Soul, and John Mayer. Oh... funny story. I knew John Mayer pretty well before he got his big break...and one night he showed me his butt...there...that's my claim to fame. (Pretty lame...LOL)
