• July 11, 2010 Safe House Outreach provides practical, emotional, and physical assistance to those living in the margins, and help integrate them back into society – to lead healthy, functional lives. Founder Philip Bray is especially passionate about helping those living in the margins and Safe House has multiple programs designed to assist all walks of life. listen
• July 25, 2010 Embraced Atlanta is a non-profit that donates orthopedic equipment to people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it. Founder Lauren O’Brien talked about how most people will throw their used orthopedic equipment away after using it, but her goal is to reuse it and give it to people who otherwise would go without. listen
• June 27, 2010 Special guests Faith and Ann McCall joined the River Current. Faith is a child who has a mitochondrial disease and is an amazing young woman. She has her own blog, faith4faith.org where she posts her own original stories and updates about her condition. listen
