- August 29, 2010 The Drive Away Hunger food drive by Autotrader.com is a two week drive raising foods and funds for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Autotrader.com Director of Community Relations Michele Blondheim and Atlanta Community Food Bank Public Relations Manager Angie Clawson talked to us about the many ways the community can get involved: donate ten cans at any local Chevy dealership and receive a Braves voucher. Her goal is to partner with non-profits to teach the kids through the books about how to manage their finances. - August 8, 2010 The Aga Khan Foundation is a non-profit, nondenominational organization dedicated to the struggle against hunger, disease and illiteracy in Africa and Asia. Guests Joe McKenna and Akbar Kassam talked at length about the foundation and the golf fundraiser, the organization's largest fundraiser on September 16th. listen
- August 1, 2010 The March of Dimes Broadcasters for Babies fundraiser is August 7th and 8th at three Simon Malls. It is the largest radio and fashion fundraiser of the season featuring radio personalities from many metro Atlanta radio stations. listen
- July 11, 2010 Safe House Outreach provides practical, emotional, and physical assistance to those living in the margins, and help integrate them back into society to lead healthy, functional lives. Founder Philip Bray is especially passionate about helping those living in the margins and Safe House has multiple programs designed to assist all walks of life. listen
- July 25, 2010 Embraced Atlanta is a non-profit that donates orthopedic equipment to people who otherwise wouldnt be able to afford it. Founder Lauren OBrien talked about how most people will throw their used orthopedic equipment away after using it, but her goal is to reuse it and give it to people who otherwise would go without. listen
- June 27, 2010 Special guests Faith and Ann McCall joined the River Current. Faith is a child who has a mitochondrial disease and is an amazing young woman. She has her own blog, faith4faith.org where she posts her own original stories and updates about her condition. listen
- May 23, 2010Home Stretch is committed to helping homeless families integrate back into society by providing temporary housing and life skill classes. Founders Susan Rumble and Rose Burton are passionate about providing a hand up not a hand out to families who want to improve their lives. listen
- May 16, 2010 The Autism Speaks walk was held in May. We had several guests on the show who talked about the struggles autistic kids face and what volunteers can do to help at Autism Speaks. listen
- May 30, 2010 BALLHARD is an organization that focuses on youth who are interested in sports, and then also stresses the importance of getting an education. Ty McMath and Herman Favors were the guests. They talked about how they hope to teach children how to be successful adults by showing them how important it is to get an education. listen
